Who is BrodyCo?

Family-owned and based in eastern North Carolina, BrodyCo has a proven track record cultivating vibrant spaces in the area. What measures have been taken to maximize suitability and green space at Mayfaire West?

Plans for Mayfaire West include 44% open space through both the design of thoughtful landscaping and the preservation of existing, mature trees. Maintaining mature landscaping and trees along the edges of the development including Two Mile Branch creek will improve water quality in nearby drainage areas. Our stormwater management strategy includes a comprehensive study of surrounding watercourses to enhance drainage and minimize environmental impact.

How accessible is the development in terms of walkability and access to the rest of the city?

Mayfaire West includes 5.5 miles of new sidewalks and trails. Wilmington’s 15-mile, off-road Gary Shell Cross City Trail will extend through Mayfaire West, connecting the main trail to the large Mayfaire area. This multiuse trail is part of a developing city-wide trails and greenways system and will provide Mayfaire West residents with safe and convenient bicycle and pedestrian access to various recreational, cultural, and educational destinations in Wilmington.

Mayfaire West is designed for efficient and safe traffic flow, featuring a grid layout inspired by Traditional Neighborhood Design and traffic-calming measures like roundabouts, on-street parking, medians, and narrower streets.


In collaboration with St. Mark Catholic Church, Autumn Hall and the City of Wilmington, the project has already installed key improvements, including a traffic signal on Eastwood Road and a shared roundabout. These enhancements have significantly improved traffic flow in the area.
